About Joseph Fleming

I believe what makes an Artist unique is the ability to create new and unexpected works, which results with each creation becoming something completely new in the world. I use my photography to reveal images that normally go unseen. Objects that would go unnoticed now project a visual experience of my imagination. I find inspiration from artists such as Robert Motherwell, Mark Rothko, and Robert Rauschenberg. I proceed without any preconceived ideas, I try to make the complicated simple and to eliminate the unnecessary. I try to see with my mind what I can not see with my eyes. It is an exploration into the unknown. I find beauty when mystery and bewilderment merge together to form a new image that did not exist before. My hope is that these creations carry the possibility to change the way we see our world and ourselves
